blizzard bedridden

Inside Cindy Sherman's studio. I recently found out she used to date Steve Martin and was shocked.

1999.

New Jeremy for Longchamp. The footprint one is still my favorite.

I think what a person hangs on their fridge is very telling.

1962 Jantzen leggings. Sooooooo rad.

 Jackson Pollock in his studio.

Leica m7 Hermes edition. Hello, lover.

:-D :-D :-D :-D. David Lachapelle. Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
If this doesn't make you smile/and or urinate, there is something wrong with you.

egg came first

I mentioned my love for William Eggleston on a previous post about Spoon's new album cover. After starting photography and shooting my own work, I discovered his photos and was instantly drawn to how fucking beautiful his work is.  Known for his saturated and piercing images, Eggleston was really one of the first pioneers of color photography and discovered the dye-transfer process.  I'm not going to go too in depth here, but I will say that I totally respect his approach in shooting and his outlook on photography in general . I watched a documentary on him called, William Eggleston in the Real World and recommend you watch it (here)! He's frequently asked: what are you thinking about when you take a photo, how do you do it, what do you mean by such and such. Do you second guess yourself after looking at something if you should capture that? He just plainly answers (and I'm paraphrasing here) "Well, I just do it..." I think he's an example of someone who doesn't try to be something, (ie GENIUS) he simply and naturally just is.

layered mix

All the textures and colors she is wearing go surprisingly well together. I love when women are carrying designer bags, but to a simple onlooker, it looks like any other (albeit beautiful) leather bag. Usually when I see someone with a PS1 in New York I just want to trample them. I'm thinking to myself, OK, I GET IT YOU'RE CARRYING AN 'IT' BAG. In this case, yes, I do want to trample her and pry the bag out of her fingers/take it for myself. However, she makes the PS1 look so damn good here that I think she is worthy of calling this Proenza her own...

hello dali

We all know Dali liked to paint. But Dali liked doing many other things too. Such as:

Jumping and reaching for the sky.

 Singing with a children's choir.

Touching his moustache (which he described as "an aerial, stretching out to capture genius and inspiration, pointing to heaven like the spires of a cathedral").

Reading his own book upside down.

Creating unheard of contraptions. (Pictured is Dali's ovicipede.)

 Drawing a bath.

Sleeping on a perfumed pillow.

Sleeping with an umbrella in public.

Fucking bitches up.

Oh, and and simulating birth from an egg.
